Cannes 2018: Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke’s Dior outfit took 250 hours to make

Emilia Clarke walked the Cannes red carpet to attend the premier of Solo: A Star Wars Story

The happening Cannes Film Festival is currently underway and the film festival is flocked with famous and influential International celebrities. Our favourite Daenerys Targaryen aka Emilia Clarke too graced the red carpet of the prestigious film festival in  custom made Dior gown.

Emilia looked pretty in an aubergine hued, halter neck, tulle gown with bardot sleeves specially designed by the artistic director of the fashion house, Maria Grazia Chiuri for the beauty. Clarke walked the red carpet to attend the premier of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The interesting thing about the outfit it that it took over 250 hours to make by hand. The fashion house shared behind the scenes making of the garment which had an asymmetrical neckline with a delicate neck-strap and ruffled off-the-shoulder sleeves. The dress was made of three different coloured hues to achieve that perfect colour shading. Navy blue, black and aubergine were the three colour tulles which we used and we are left in complete awe.

We absolutely love the sleeves and the fact that they added so much drama to the look. Together it makes for a very minimal yet elegant look. Pure love!
